Booking conditions for event accommodation

When will my booking become binding?

Your booking becomes binding when we have confirmed the booking with booking confirmation and invoice. A paid invoice is a confirmed booking from you as a customer. In the event of a rebooking from Svecia Travels, you have the opportunity to accept/decline the new proposal. If you agree to the proposal, the booking becomes binding and if you say no, you have the right to get your money back.

Cancellation/rebooking: Event accommodation

If you cancel your booking, if the event is cancelled or the event date is changed
Up to 31 days before arrival, 65% of the booking amount will be refunded, excluding the booking fee of SEK 100 and possible cancellation protection. Cancellation 30-0 days before the booked arrival date, none of the booking amount will be refunded. However, the booking can be transferred to another person, this must always be notified to Svecia Travels.

Hotel reservations cannot be canceled after March 31, 2025. It is okay to transfer the reservation to someone else.

Don't forget to review your own insurance policies for cancellations.

When cancelling a confirmed booking, everyone in the party is booked off. We can help you look for other accommodation with the current number of guests.

In the event of a change of a confirmed booking, a fee of SEK 100 per booking is added.

Cancellation protection event accommodation

The fee for cancellation protection is 500 SEK per booking if the booking amount is up to 5000 SEK. For a booking amount of 5000-10 000 SEK, it costs 750 SEK per booking. We do not offer cancellation protection for sums over 10 000 SEK.
With cancellation protection, you can cancel until 4 pm five days before arrival, in case of later cancellation the full price of the booking is charged. Cancellation protection can only be bought at the time of booking. Cancellation protection applies to all people in the booking. If you choose to use the cancellation protection, all people in the booking will be cancelled. No partial refund can be made if others choose to use the accommodation. Cancellation protection applies if any of the following occurs:
A. Death, illness or accident of a serious nature, which affected yourself, your spouse, partner, your or their parents, children, siblings or fellow traveller.
B. Other serious event beyond your control, e.g. extensive fire or flooding in your home, which means that it is not reasonable to request that you stand by your booking.
C. Call-up to the armed forces or the civil defense.

You must be able to prove your reason with a certificate from a doctor, authority or insurance company. Certificates must be received by Svecia Travels AB no later than 14 days after the cancellation date for a refund to take place.

What happens if I don't pay on time? 

You run the risk of Svecia Travels cancelling the booking you made.

Booking fee:

A booking fee of 100 SEK is added to each booking and is not refunded in the event of cancellation. 

Force majeure

If the event has to be cancelled due to extraordinary circumstances (force majeure), 65% of the booking sum will be refunded, excluding the booking fee of SEK 100 and possible cancellation protection.

Arrival and departure private accommodation/
event accommodation/cottages 

The accommodation will be placed at your disposal unless otherwise agreed by 3 p.m. on the day of arrival until 12 a.m. on the day of departure. You will receive your booking confirmation by mail after making the reservation, unless otherwise agreed. Please read it carefully to avoid misunderstandings. Please make sure that you enter the correct number of persons when making the reservation despite the given number of beds in the house. Note that you cannot accommodate more people than booked beds. You can of course be fewer than the people you have booked and paid for.

Practical information when booking private accomodation

Please notice that you have to be over 18 years old to make a reservation. In the description of every accommodation you can find information about bringing along pets or smoking. If you bring your pet please state this when making the booking.

Keep in mind that you have to clean the accommodation yourself, unless otherwise agreed. Cleaning equipment should be at your disposal. There will also be kitchen equipment and bedding (duvet and pillow) corresponding to the number of persons and beds. You have to take care of the property as well as following the rules and regulations. Any damages incurred during the rental period will be replaced by the landlord.

If you have a complaint please inform Svecia Travels AB immediately. If we are not able to fix the error locally, you have to submit a written complaint (within 14 days after departure) to Svecia Travels AB, Poppelgatan 8, 591 35 Motala, Sweden or info@sveciatravels.se

Law for personal data - GDPR

By effecting payment you agree that your personal data may be processed by Svecia Travels AB. The purpose is to allow a user-friendly administration to assure that Svecia Travels has access to the confidential personal data in the event of an accident, to meet the conditions of the cancellation insurance and to administer and to cover possible damages. The data can also be used to provide information on insurance and payment services and related travel offers. Guests can also be contacted for market research.
